We have a clear zero-tolerance policy towards all forms of modern slavery, forced labour, servitude, debt bondage, and human trafficking. We will not knowingly engage with or support any business, organisation, or individual involved in such practices. All relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and labour providers are based on the expectation that they uphold the same high standards of human rights, fair treatment, and lawful employment.

Any breach or suspected breach of this policy is treated with the utmost seriousness. Where appropriate, we will terminate contracts, cease engagement, and, if required, cooperate with relevant authorities. Our zero-tolerance stance is communicated internally and externally so that all parties understand that modern slavery has no place in our operations.

Our Business and Supply Chains

Camden Man and Van provides removals, transport, and related services, often working with subcontracted drivers, vehicle providers, equipment suppliers, and other service partners. We understand that risks may arise in areas such as temporary labour, logistics, and sourcing of vehicles and equipment. We are committed to identifying and managing these risks through robust supplier controls, due diligence, and ongoing monitoring.

Supplier Standards and Audits

We expect all suppliers and subcontractors to comply with all applicable labour, employment, and human rights laws, and to ensure that no forced, bonded, or involuntary labour is used at any stage of their operations. As part of our supplier onboarding process, we assess the ethical standards of prospective suppliers and reserve the right to refuse partnerships where our standards are not met.

We are developing and implementing proportionate supplier audit processes to monitor compliance with our anti-slavery expectations. These audits may include requesting documentation on employment practices, reviewing workforce arrangements, and, where appropriate, carrying out checks at supplier premises. Suppliers are required to cooperate fully with any such review and to address any issues identified within an agreed timeframe.

Reporting Channels and Whistleblowing

We encourage all employees, workers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to report any concerns or suspicions of modern slavery or unethical labour practices connected with Camden Man and Van or our supply chains. Concerns can be raised directly with management or through internal reporting routes made available to staff.

Reports can be made in confidence, and we are committed to ensuring that no one suffers any detrimental treatment for raising a genuine concern. All reports will be taken seriously, investigated promptly, and, where necessary, appropriate corrective and protective measures will be implemented.

Training and Awareness

We aim to raise awareness of modern slavery risks among our staff and key suppliers. Relevant employees receive information on the signs of modern slavery, how to respond to concerns, and the importance of acting in line with our zero-tolerance policy. We will continue to review our training materials to ensure they remain effective and proportionate to the nature of our operations.

Governance and Annual Review

Responsibility for overseeing our approach to modern slavery rests with senior management at Camden Man and Van. We monitor the effectiveness of our policies and controls through regular management reviews, supplier assessments, and feedback from staff and partners.

This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement is reviewed at least annually to ensure it remains accurate, relevant, and aligned with legal requirements and best practice.
